Broomsticks and roadside “cannons”: Svitato is the coat stand you didn’t expect, born from the ashes of an old fibreglass mould roadside bollards, retrieved from the dusty warehouses of a big company. Its well-known spherical shape has been divided and excavated in order to find lightness and elegance, two features emphasized by the lightweight concrete that turns the whole project in an industrial-style furnishing object. Some standard threaded bushings from a threading die are plunged on top of the base screwing some wooden broomsticks as spokes of a wheel and completing the coat stand.
